Didn't get to work on the plane until late. I wanted to get all of the stiffeners done but there still are 10 to go. I envy the guys with disk sanders that blast these thing out like nobodies business. I do all of the shaping with a file and "etch" them with the scotchbrite wheel. I am real happy with how they come out. In case you were wondering what I'm doing here it is:

The tapered end starts out like this

The place where the taper starts has a notch in it.
When it's finished, I've filed it smooth.
